Windsurfing: Pevensey Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: F5-6 Surf / Sea State: Good swell Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: dry but cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered:
I was at Pevensey and the swell was rolling along from Dover at a good
size. I got there and it absolutely tonked it down with rain. After a
while drove on for an explore and to get a better angle for the wind around
the coast. Ended up parked up at Pevensey Sailing Club where the wind was
just cross shore and much stronger. You could see there was a slight wind
shadow on the inside but still plenty of puff and nothing like the other
carpark.
Went for a 5.3m on wave board and it was spot on. Fully powered out back
and enough to punch out 15 yds through light patch. Tide was high and a bit
munchy. Waves were hitting the beach at 45 degrees and a good size. Really
fast blasting down through the troughs on the way back to the beach. Quite
a strong current to the west.
A good session at a new beach for me.
